Make TwiceThe Music.
Many employers match the charitable gifts their employees make. If yours does, your donation to the Symphony can go twice as far, and it takes about five minutes to ask.
Example of a one-to-one match. Some companies match at two or three times the gift; each employer sets its own rules and limits.
The easiest second gift you’ll never have to write a check for.
Many companies set aside money every year to match their employees’ donations to nonprofits, and a good share of it is never requested, often because people don’t know their employer offers it.
Every concert the La Mirada Symphony presents is free, and the musicians on that stage are paid professionals. A matched gift puts more of them there, keeps the doors open to everyone, and costs you nothing extra. If you’re retired, ask your former employer too: many companies match gifts from retirees as well.

Ask your employer.
Check your company’s employee giving portal or ask Human Resources whether it matches charitable gifts. Many companies run their programs through platforms such as Benevity or YourCause.
Submit the request.
Fill out your employer’s matching form with the Symphony’s information below. If the company contacts us to confirm your gift, we’ll take care of it from there.

A few common questions.
Does my company match gifts?
The quickest way to find out is your employer’s benefits site or HR department. Look for terms like matching gifts, employee giving or charitable match.
Is there a deadline?
Usually, yes. Many companies require you to submit your request by the end of the calendar year of your gift, or within a set number of months. Asking right after you donate is the safe bet.
What if I volunteer instead?
Some employers also give “volunteer grants,” a donation to a nonprofit where an employee volunteers a certain number of hours. If you usher or help at our concerts, it’s worth asking about.
Will I hear back from you?
Yes. We thank every donor, and we’ll confirm your gift to your employer whenever they ask. Questions? Write to us at info@lamiradasymphony.com.
Give once. Get heard twice.
Your gift keeps every La Mirada Symphony concert free. Your employer’s match could put another musician on the stage.
