La Mirada Symphony Volunteer Opportunities

The La Mirada Symphony exists because our community believes that world-class, live orchestral music should be accessible to everyone. Our concerts are free to attend, but they aren’t free to produce — and that’s where you come in.

Why Volunteer With the La Mirada Symphony?

When you volunteer with the Symphony, you’re doing more than handing out programs. You’re helping:

Keep free concerts available to families, students, and seniors.
Support local musicians and guest artists who bring world-class performances to our city.
Strengthen arts and music education for young people in our community.

Whether you have a few hours on concert days or skills you’d like to share behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.

Ways You Can Help

We welcome volunteers with all kinds of backgrounds and experience. Some of the areas where we especially need help include:

Front-of-House Support – greeting guests, handing out programs, helping patrons find their seats, and answering basic questions.
Creative Fundraising & Development – assisting with grant writing, researching funding opportunities, corporate sponsorships, and community fundraisers.
Community Outreach – helping us share concert information with schools, local businesses, and community groups.
Special Events & Receptions – supporting donor events, receptions, raffles, and other special community activities.
Administrative & Behind-the-Scenes Help – data entry, organizing materials, or helping with special projects as needed.

If you have a skill that’s not listed here — from marketing to photography to graphic design — we’d still love to hear from you.

What to Expect as a Volunteer
