"New Beginnings” from the Podium

Following a search and interview process, the Association Board of Director has unanimously accepted the recommendations of a committee of peers to invite qualified musicians to be Guest Conductors during the 2010-2011 concert season. One of these will then be chosen to become the new Music Director/Conductor of the La Mirada Symphony Orchestra. What an exciting season of music is planned ahead! Don’t miss it! Each of the finalists shares many of the qualities and experiences needed to carry on the tradition of excellent music typical of the La Mirada Symphony Orchestra: extensive musical education, time availability, experience with professional and community orchestras in local, national and international venues, and, especially, a love of working with young people to fill them with the joys of fine music.
